Avantgarde meets monument protection.
BWM were responsible for planning and designing rooms by wolfensson, eight serviced apartments in a heritage-protected building, while meeting all the monument protection standards and keeping with the style of well known wolfensson concept store.

Hotel of the year!
We are thrilled to share that Grand Hotel Straubinger has been selected as the Winner of the Year in the Spatial Category by the 2024 FRAME Awards Grand Jury for its integration with the striking surroundings! Congratulations and big thanks to everyone involved!
From the jury report: "BWM Designers & Architects collaborated with the Federal Monuments Office and local authorities to meticulously restore the heritage-protected buildings, blending historical charm with contemporary luxury while minimizing waste. …a ‘really inspiring project that demonstrates careful research during the design development phase. The dialogue between nature, people, history and contemporaneity provides a sophisticated and welcoming ambience. Every detail was carefully considered, resulting in a high level of design that’s reflected in each aspect of the hotel. … This project does a great job of blending old and new, juxtaposing timeless and classic design with modern natural elements."

Making-Of der Holzschleife
In less than six months, the EXPO 2025 world exhibition will open its doors in Osaka, Japan, where Austria will present itself under the motto ‘Composing the Future’. Watch the video to find out how the eye-catcher of the Austrian pavilion, a 16.5 metre high, spiral-shaped band of musical notes made of wood, was produced in a unique geometry and in an innovative and CO2-minimised construction method.
